Kelly Hoey, author of “Build Your Dream Network” was our guest speaker at LadyDrinks today. Top tips from this virtual workshop on how to network and forge relationships on social media that can still lead to business.

1. Set a cadence of creating ‘watercooler moments’ each day or week on Twitter to encourage relationship builds and conversation. Be mindful about the way you show up. Be the perfect cocktail guest. Not salesy.

2. When thinking about content to publish, always be adding value. Think about where your customer hangs out. What does she read? What does she do on the weekends? Ask who is my customer and how can I help them with this post or article?

3. You break through the noise with great content. Period.

4. The no1. search engine is Google. no. 2 is Youtube. №3 is Pinterest. Don’t overlook it. Use it to archive ideas and content, photos as well. Keywords are key. Apply keywords that you, yourself, would be using when searching for content.

5. Worried your friends aren’t seeing your posts? Tag appropriately to make sure they do!
