What are the top five things wellness means to me as a working woman, living in New York City.

QUALITY SLEEP AND THE CLARITY THAT COMES WITH IT. For 17 years, I got up between 2:30am and 3:30am to go to work. I think about the years of sleep deprivation and how it impacted my decision making. Now I cherish the quality sleep and the clarity in my decision making.

THE FIRST ‘WIN’ OF THE DAY SETS THE TONE FOR THE DAY
If I have gotten up at 5am and gotten through a challenging workout by 7am, I have already won. It’s my first win for the day and its sets the tone for how the rest of my day will go.

SOMETIMES, IT’S ABOUT BEING QUIET
Not about a workout at all.

IT’S ABOUT PRIORITIES
Wellness for me is a choice. I will for go a late night or more drinks in favor of my morning practice. It’s choice. I choose to like what I see reflected in the mirror.

IT’S ABOUT CONSISTENCY
And its about showing up for me. Nobody else.
