Bincy Jacob is a New Yorker transplanted in Houston, by way of Seattle. She is attending the LadyDrinks High Tea in Houston September 21st at the Hotel Granduca 2–4 pm.
She credits her ability to succeed with each move to three things: A supportive partner. Her ability to connect with people. And her personal mantra “How can I serve?”
She was a case manager for the New York City Police Department early in her career. In subsequent positions, she served in several positions at organizations supporting survivors of violence, including as Executive Director at two South Asian API institutions.
“I came to the US as a baby. I’ve spent my adulthood servicing folks on the margins of society.”
Her husband’s job in the oil and gas industry brought them to Houston in 2013. It was a choice favoring Bincy’s family, that is now comprised of four young children. Since her family’s move to Houston in 2013, she reinvented herself once again by choosing a career in real estate with Keller Williams. She is also active in the South Asian Women’s Professional Network.
What does Bincy most look forward to at the LadyDrinks High Tea in Houston? “Listening to other women. Engaging in more meaningful conversation than we typically do at a networking event. And delving into challenges that may be specific to South Asian professional women.”
