I normally talk about powerful public speaking. But on @PaulaRizzo s podcast “The Inside Scoop” Thursday, I will be talking about 💪🏼strategic planning💪🏼and how that translates into more powerful leadership.
As I get older, I see value in creating ❤️more space❤️ in my schedule for big picture thinking.
As a result, Sundays are sacred for me. This is when I look at my calendar and plan. My two big goals right now are
sales
self care
I want a certain number of registered members of LadyDrinks by summer. (Shit. Summer is 97 days away. ) What is the most important task I need to do daily to move the needle on that? At least 3 sales calls a day. I need to ask: What is my offer? Does my website clearly relay that offer? Does my social media?
I plan my social media on Sundays. What topics will I cover this week? Which posts live as straight write-ups? Which ones become videos? Or Reels? I plan using tools such as @Airtable and @Later.com.
#Selfcare is incredibly important to me. It’s the whole ‘put on your own oxygen mask first.’ For the better part of 20 years, I woke up at 2:30 am, was in to work by 3:30am and on television by 4:30 or 5AM. Self care couldn’t come first.
Now that I’m an entrepreneur, it has to come first. Every day, won’t be a ‘win.’ But at least I can win the morning and set the tone for the day. A yoga teacher comes 3 days a week to my home at 7 or 8am. I box 2 days a week at @Gleasons gym in Dumbo at 6am. I also review my social commitments for the week. Which night I will have a few glasses of wine? No point in waking up at 5am if I’m going to torpedo it with bad eating habits.
